Proudly made in New Zealand by MoeMoe using a unique quilting process that brings out all the natural benefits of the New Zealand wool. The wool that Moemoe uses is not compressed when sewn, so it retains its natural resilience, 'bounce' and thermal properties, giving a nice even heat.
This wool duvet is an “every day” weight – designed for Spring through to Autumn, although it may be a little too warm in the hotter days of summer. You can add warmth to it in Winter with a lovely wool blanket (or if you want all season coverage, look at our combo duvets)

Care Instructions

Machine (front loader) or hand wash using a gentle wool detergent, line dry or dry flat. Follow all manufacturers care label insructions. Do not tumble dry. Alternatively you can dry clean your wool duvet. I recommend that (at least) once a quarter you should air out your duvet in the sunshine to reduce the level of allergen.

Why a wool duvet inner?

Are wool duvets better than synthetic duvets?
Wool has numerous unique properties which make it the ideal natural fibre for peaceful sleep.

It’s breathable so it regulates body temperature and provides thermal insulation when needed. Wool provides the healthiest, driest, healthiest and most comfortable sleep. Synthetic duvet inners made from polyester or nylon, whilst cheaper, will have lower ‘breathability’, be less fire retardant and are less able to regulate your body temperature

Is a wool duvet inner itchy?
‘Prickly wool’ fibres are greater than 35 microns in diameter (such as the wool found in furnishings, carpets or cheaper imported clothing). The soft wool fibre in this duvet inner (finer than 35 microns) will not push through the finely woven cotton envelope and you should not be itchy, even if you have a sensitive skin.

Wool is better than feather or down duvet inners
As you change position during the night, feather and down fillers move around inside the duvet envelope. This causes variation in temperature – hot spots and cold spots – throughout the night as you sleep, which may be disruptive.
Unlike Feather and Down fibres, wool naturally regulates body temperature by drawing excess moisture away from your body, so you remain at a comfortable and even temperature throughout the night. Wool is a naturally non-allergenic which makes our duvet inners a perfect choice for people with asthma or allergies. It is also naturally fire retardant so ensures the safest sleep.
